If you’re curious about firearms, whether for personal defense or to learn a new sport, Women On Target® is the perfect place to start. These instructional shooting clinics are designed to teach you firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship, giving you the confidence you need to safely handle and operate a firearm upon completion.
Women On Target® clinics are available only to women — it’s a safe and friendly environment whether you’re picking up a gun for the very first time or are just brushing off some dust and need a little refresher. You’ll immediately feel at ease in the half-day course, and will be provided with a hands-on, one-of-a-kind experience. No experience or equipment is necessary to participate. This is a great way to learn the basics of pistols before taking the North Carolina Concealed Carry course.
The range portion of this course is held less than 10 minutes away, where a .22 caliber pistol and ammunition are provided to you, as well as personalized instruction and coaching. For this reason class size is limited. This course does not meet the requirements for a Concealed Carry certificate. If you are not yet confident in your ability to handle, load, and unload firearms safely, please consider attending this course, or our NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course, prior to attending the Concealed Carry course.
Requirements:
⊗ Participants must be a minimum age of 20 years old on the date of the course.
⊗ You must be free from any Felony conviction at any point in your life, and not otherwise legally prohibited from possessing a firearm. (If you are not sure, please contact us in advance)
⊗ This course does not meet the requirements for a Concealed Carry certificate. If you are not yet confident in your ability to handle, load, and unload firearms safely, please consider attending this course, or our NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course, prior to attending the Concealed Carry course.
Safety Reminders:
⊗ Live ammunition is strictly prohibited in the classroom. You may bring your fully unloaded and safe firearm into the classroom, but please let the instructor know prior to entering. No magnums or calibers larger than .45 ACP please.
⊗ Ear and eye protection are required and not provided.
⊗ All participants must sign this waiver. You are encouraged to print it off and bring it with you to class already filled out.
Payment Policy:
PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Payment for this course is due at the time of registration.
Reschedules:
Emergency reschedules are only made at the discretion of Right 2 A Defense. In the case of an emergency reschedule, your payment will be credited to the future class date of your choosing.
